In celebration of National Manufacturing Day the Audubon County Economic Development(ACED) organized a tour at Puck Enterprises, Inc. for 22 Industrial Tech students from Audubon High School. Manufacturing Day is held annually on the first Friday in October and is an opportunity for manufacturers to highlight what's taking place on factory floors across the country and to energize a future pipeline of skilled workers. The goal of Manufacturing Day is to inspire the next generations of manufactuturers and educate the public at large on the importance of the role manufacturers play in our daily lives and the growing skill shortage despite the high volume of job openings in this sector. A few of our local manufacturers such as Accu-Steel, TNT Industries, Quality Machine, Amanco and Puck Enterprises, Inc employ over 140 people in our region and send products nationwide.
