The Audubon County Board of Supervisors consists of three members, all elected at large, and serving four year terms. The board meets in regular session every Monday at 9:00 a.m., with occasional special meetings as needed. An agenda listing all business to be considered at the next meeting is posted outside the supervisors office one business day before the next meeting. Minutes of the previous meeting are published in the Audubon County Advocate Journal. The Board of Supervisors is the executive and legislative branch of county government. The Supervisors serve as the policymakers for the county and administer the various county programs. Their powers include reviewing budget requests, appropriating funds, establishing county tax levies, enacting ordinances, filling employee vacancies, and hearing reports from county officers. The board is responsible for overseeing economic development in the county. Each member serves on the boards listed below, in addition to appointing citizens to other boards and commissions.
