The City Clerk's Office is primarily responsible for the finances and record keeping for the City. This office is the custodian of City records and proceedings. There is also a Deputy Clerk in the office that assists with a wide variety of duties. Among the other office duties are working with investments, payroll, reports, cemetery records, account receivable, water and sewer invoiced and payments, issue various permits, and secretary to many City boards and commissions. The office prepares Council agendas and minutes and works with the Public Works Department. The City Clerk's office keeps the wheels of the City turning and assists our citizens in any way they can.

Fire Dept. - 712-563-2023Tyler Thygesen, Fire Chief-The Audubon Fire Department is made of very dedicated volunteers that provide fire protection and medical emergency service to our citizens 24/7. The department personnel go through extensive training and are well equipped with both great fire fighting equipment and personal ability. They also respond to rural fires, car accidents, search and rescue, gas leaks, industrial accidents, assist law enforcement, and medical emergencies. Many of the members hold various levels of certification in Fire Fighter, Certified Instructor, First Responders, or Emergency Medical Technician. The Audubon Fire Department also works with schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and businesses to provide guidance regarding fire safety such as drills, evacuation plans, extinguisher use and other safety matters. They also participate in numerous community projects.
